আমরা বড় হয়েছি রুশ সাহিত্য পড়ে। ছোটবেলা ওই চমৎকার বইগুলোর পাতা ওল্টানোর আনন্দ ছিল অন্যরকম। সময় পাল্টেছে, নতুন করে বাচ্চা ও তাদের বাবা-মাকেও ফিরিয়ে দিতে এই মজার বই। আজকালকার বাচ্চাদের ঠিক পথে চালনা করা মা বাবার জন্য একটা বড় চ্যালেঞ্জ হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। চিরকালই বাচ্চাদের যা বলা হয় তারা তার উল্টোটা করতে ভালবাসে। তাই এই বইয়ের পাতায় পাতায় লেখক গ্রিগোরি ওস্তের নিয়ম ভাঙার কথা বলেছেন যাতে নিয়ম মেনে চলার ইচ্ছে জাগে। তিনি জানেন অবাক করতে, হাসাতে যেমন পারেন তেমনি পারেন বাচ্চাদের কল্পনা এবং চিন্তা শক্তি বাড়াতে। তাঁর লেখা শুধু যে মজাদার তাই নয়, এমনকি সবচেয়ে চঞ্চল বাচ্চাকেও অনেকক্ষণ বই পড়ায় ব্যস্ত রাখতে পারে। বাচ্চাদের জন্য লেখা হলেও বাচ্চাদের মা, বাবা, পরিবারের অন্য সদস্যরাও পড়তে পারেন নিছক হাসার আর প্রয়োজনে আত্মসমালোচনার জন্য। এই বইয়ের বাড়তি পাওনা পুরো বইটায় ছবিতে ভরপুর।
